Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this year’s Wombat Day a huge success! The students all had a wonderful time and engaged in many fun activities. Some great team-building took place!
Thank you to all the parents who donated food and equipment to feed and care for our army of kids; to the morning and afternoon chaperones who helped keep an eye on all of our students; to the drivers who shuttled kids to and from Chatfield; and to the grillers who cooked for several hours Saturday afternoon to make enough burgers and hot dogs to feed all of the kids.
Special thanks for making the day such a huge success go out to following people:
- Wil Rickards John Clancy, and Laurie Ivey for planning and leading the group team-building activities.
- Sara Cuthbert for putting together the sign-ups for help and donations, and for organizing all the donated items.
- Terrie Tyree for reserving the picnic area and setting up the always-popular paddle-boarding activity.
- Heather Hampton, Julie Evans, Hillary Chartrand, Melissa Emery, and Peter Han who gave up their whole Saturday to stay, chaperone, shuttle, grill, and clean up after the kids the entire day.
The orchestra council for their hard work in organizing the afternoon’s Wombat activities and making sure all students were included: Katie Delson, Lauren Martin, Madelyn Erickson, Kai Padilla-Smith, Dylan Tyree,Sandy Battulga and Magnolia Howe.
And, to anyone whose name we inadvertently left out, thank you for all of your help and for all you do. Without everyone’s help, we would not have been able to pull off this huge orchestra team-building event. Thank you!
