Please see website for rules, repertoire and application information (CLICK HERE).
The first annual EOP String Competition is open to all violin, viola, and cello students between the ages of 8-18 studying classical music. The EOP Competition is presented in collaboration with the string department of the Metropolitan State University of Denver and will be held in the spectacular King Center on the MSU campus on Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th.
The purpose of this competition is to provide young string students throughout the Colorado Front Range area an opportunity to compete within their own instrumental and age groups. Unlike most other competitions for young instrumentalists, violinists will compete with violinists, cellists with cellists, etc. Winners within each group will have the opportunity to perform in a winner’s recital at the King Center Concert Hall as well as receive a small cash prize. All competitors are invited to a performance given by the string faculty at MSU Denver as well as other programs and instructional opportunities that will be presented throughout the two-day event. |
