Colton Trigg wins Colorado Chamber Players Haydn Prize

“Congratulations to Colton Trigg, winner of the Haydn prize with the Colorado Chamber Players, through the TASHCO competition. Colton will perform Haydn op. 76 #2 with the CCP on July 23rd at Children’s Hospital Aurora, 12 noon. Colton is a senior at Denver School of the Arts. Join us!”

Lily Primus wins 4th Prize, Jr. Division
American Harp Society National Competition

The American Harp Society, with over 3,000 members, is “the largest harp-related organization in the world!”  They hold a national competition every two years.  Congratulations to Lily on this award and the hours of hard work that made this accomplishment possible.

Back-to-School Picnic

The Back-to-school picnic will be at 5:00 pm-9:00 pm on Tuesday August 18th at Stapleton Central Park picnic area (the same area as last year).

We will send out a potluck sign up next week!

For those of you who want to get started with next fall’s seating auditions.

High School: Western States audition music

Middle School:

  1. A classical solo of your choice (must demonstrate technical and lyrical playing)
  2. Two or three octave A major and c minor scale.
  3. Sight- reading

The National YoungArts Foundation (formerly the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, or NFAA) would like to offer our most talented art students the opportunity of a lifetime. From April 21, 2015 through October 16, 2015, YoungArts will be accepting applications for its 2016 Program.
